The Highest Good for All

The Academy of Universal Metaphysics’ Board of Trustees acts in order to protect the academy, its physical home, enrollment, and financial sustainability. The board will review these standards annually and update them as necessary to ensure optimal academy operation embracing Conscientious Planning.

Leaders of Manifestations

Governing with Mind, Heart, and Spirit

As governing bodies of Academy of Universal Metaphysics, we will:

  • Review, streamline, and update Board Bylaws.
  • Be in compliance with our own requirements and policies such as, conflict of interest, confidentiality statements, and good governance.
  • Review board composition and operations such as recruiting skill sets and balancing terms of goals.
  • Continue to ensure the Board reflects the diversity of the AUM community.
  • Provide new Trustee orientations with clearly defined roles and responsibilities for themselves, Board members, and the administration.
  • Ensure all governing bodies understand the different challenges they may face, before committing to their role.
  • Meet the ongoing growth and professional development of Board members.
  • Continue to evaluate and address risks facing the school and its well-being.
  • Attain our own energetic balance to optimize clarity when leading and collaborating.

Empowered Educators

In order to provide our Learners with inspirational Educators as role models, we will:

  • Respect and welcome the autonomy of our educators in alignment with our mission and standards.
  • Provide ongoing training and professional development with an emphasis on pedagogy of academic & metaphysics curriculum and instruction.
  • Benchmark salaries both locally and nationally in order maintain these world’s valued Educators.

Preparing Learners for Life

In order to deliver our mission, of providing education that empowers youth to believe in their infinite possibilities and create a more compassionate world, we will:

  • Hold the highest expectation for academic mastery, relevance, effectiveness, and positive applications to self, others, and the world.
  • Model application of life wisdom through stories, scenarios, current events, and study of sacred scriptures from around the world.
  • Invite guest educators and spiritual gurus to share their wisdom.
  • Continue to evaluate learners’ academic performances, character development, and socio-emotional health and well-being.
  • Welcome and encourage learner and parent feedback.
  • Assess qualities, variety, and diversity in programs for learners’ experiences.

Our Home

In order to ensure that Academy of Universal Metaphysics’ physical facilities fully support our learners, educators, community members, and the programs of the academy, we will:

  • Meet the health and safety of our learners and educators by making necessary ongoing adjustments.
  • Continue to strive for our campus to prioritize the changing needs of our learners and educators while meeting our mission.
  • Research eco-friendly and sustainability attributes for building/facility construction, maintenance, and operational needs for both financial and environmental support.

In order to ensure the delivery of our academy mission, we will:

  • Create a variety of experiences for learners to demonstrate, their academic applications and practice essential core values of AUM.
  • Continue to create and implement insightful rubrics, surveys, and instruments of measurement for program evaluations and feedback from learners, educators, parents, and involved community members.
  • Ensure healthy and practical balance between metaphysics and non metaphysics perspectives.
  • Pay particular attention to the quality of cross-curricular and interdisciplinary programs to embody their maximum values.

Guiding our program with a clear understanding of who we are and our commitment to those whom we serve and represent. While continuing to nurture sustainability in our school population and financial security, we will:

  • Continue to demonstrate our mission to prepare learners for life, by affirming our commitment to academic applications, metaphysical discoveries, and community service collaborations.
  • Nurture our learners to be empowered and compassionate believers of infinite possibilities.
  • Develop academy operational governing structures and processes to support a growing applicant pool of learners with diverse backgrounds.
  • Make sure that families and community members have an accurate understanding of the access to and benefits of an AUM education.
  • Provide parents, community members, and future alumni with the language and tools to explain AUM’s impact and significance to their friends and the external community.
  • Find and create opportunities to raise the profile of AUM locally, regionally, and nationally.
  • Strive for the academy to take its rightful place as a recognized leader in the world of spiritual-based academia.
